One of the reasons that so many of us play video games is that we can do things we can only dream about in real life. The joke on the internet is that they are the only place where “You awake feeling well rested.” I also get fairly rich in the games that I play. I’ve been on Skyrim for the past week and saved up enough money to buy a plot of land. Granted I had to kill some people for the privilege and wouldn’t want to have to do that in real life, but owning land in real life would be nice. For the past day I have been building a house for myself with my own hands. Again that is not something that could really happen. No one would want to live in a house I physically built. But it’s fun to pretend. There is also no property tax on the land in the game. That’s a complete fantasy. I’m also super organized in my games. Nothing like reality. I’ve got a couple of days off and will probably work on my game house more. I SHOULD probably do work around the actual house too. Well see. For now I’ll fantasize about waking up well rested.
