A Beep
To get my attention
A buzz
To set me in motion
Too many unnatural sounds
Moving me through the day.
A squeal
To make me wonder
A cry
That calls me to action
Noises through the house
Telling me what to do.
A crash, a pop, a thump
Laughter in another room
And trickling through my brain
I want to be heard;
So, I listen with all my heart.
