Maximum Capacity

Our homeless friend seems to have found accommodations more to his liking. Both of my older sons are content to live on their own. So The house just has me, my wife and our two adult disabled children. At this point in my life that seems like enough. When we are all in the house I’ve been declaring it to be at “maximum capacity.” My wife and I occasionally talk about having more children, but neither of us is physically, mentally, or spiritually healthy enough to raise another little human or two. I left out financially healthy because we could probably afford another child at this point. But there is always so much else going on in our lives that even though the money is decent we have our hands full. In disability lingo we talk about spoons. Autism uses a lot of spoons. Some things cost spoons and some things provide spoons. We continue to try to use more spoons than we have. We are at maximum capacity.
