What positive emotion do you feel most often?
While I want more out of life I try to cultivate an attitude of gratitude. I have a family that loves me. I have a place of employment that is safe and clean even if it is a little bit nerve wracking. I have a very short bucket list that still seems doable. I have a life with few regrets. I have regular food, cool clothes, and a good house to live. I have a refrigerator, indoor plumbing, and central air. I wish I had the kind of wealth to share what I already have because I am so grateful for it. That would be awesome.

Gratitude has really changed my life.
I will say it has to come from a place of authenticity. For a long time I tried to cultivate gratitude to cover up other things I wasn’t dealing with. So that was problematic. I went back and had to deal with those things. Real gratitude I think takes into account the realities of life.
Hmm…other positive emotions. Perhaps contentment would top the list of positive emotions. A feeling of satisfaction that is not passionate but is more stable.

I am definitely not content but that does seem like a positive emotion if we are going to “be still” and experience the divine that is already in our lives.
My first thought was actually love. I love a lot of people and try to love everyone. But I decided against it because love is a verb. At its purest we do not feel love, we put it into action.
