Latter Day Sinner

There are brands that I like. My pants are mostly Dickies. I usually have some SPAM in the cupboard. I print my art with CafePress. My Moto G Pure cell phone is decent and I’d consider going with Moto for my next upgrade. But I don’t know that I associate with any of them. That implies that my identity as a human being is somehow tied to a product line. I certainly hope that such a thing never happens. It comes down to the notion that one of the things wrong with the world is that we love things and use people instead of the other way around. I am not always stellar at the latter, but a question like today’s reminds me of all the work we still have to do at becoming better humans.
