What makes a good neighbor?
When I was a kid I heard stories about the “Welcome Wagon.” The idea was that when a new family moved onto the block that everyone else there would come to let them know they were welcome. In this mythical past the old residents would bring a casserole so Mom wouldn’t have to cook and maybe even help Dad make little repairs before all the unpacking began. I have never actually witnessed this but it sounds lovely if a bit old timey. Most good neighbors just leave each other alone around here.

Old timey or small townish. I think there are still tighter knit communities that do that. Janesville just isn’t one of them.
