Latter Day Sinner

My senior year in highschool was at the time amazing. I truly believed that I was the center of the world. I had good grades in advanced classes, I was in music and theater so other students knew who I was, and I was also student council president. By the end of the year I was set to go to a fancy expensive west coast college and would (inexplicably) be spending the summer in Basic Training. My future was bright and I knew where I was going. Sadly it was an illusion, my plans were half baked, and I was not in fact the center of the world. It’s still good memories and a few decent stories, but knowing what I know now I would not go back.
