Liberation Day

Invent a holiday! Explain how and why everyone should celebrate.

October 16 is Liberation Day from now on. We will all celebrate the day I was discharged from the Army in 1989. On the very same day in 1997 I smoked marijuana for the last time. To commemorate all the times in my life and yours that we moved from captivity to freedom we celebrate. We also will use this day to acknowledge the ongoing struggle to move from intoxication to sanctification. Mark the date on your calendars. October 16 is Liberation Day.

  1. Though, you really will have to get famous in order to have the clout to do this. 😉

    1. I saw a joke about trying to get Mount Rushmore carved today and part of it was that unfortunately all sculptors work from home now. Sometimes I really think I would have to leave the house in order to get famous.
