Martyrs

It is far easier to kill or die for what you believe than it is to live for it and let others live for what they believe. In some ways I consider my life so far to be more successful than Joseph Smith’s, Mohamed’s, and even Jesus Christ’s. I have not asked anyone to kill or die because they agree with me nor do I intend to do so. Most people in the US agree that killing someone over their beliefs will end badly for the killer. But we idolize people who die sharing their message. But here’s the thing: By encouraging someone to kill you, you bring guilt on them. Christ was wrong to be silent in front of Pilate. Christ could have not only saved his own life but even more importantly he could have saved Pilate’s soul. Christ didn’t love Pilate enough to call off the whole Crucifixion. I will willingly call off my own crucifixion to save the souls of those who wish me dead. The world would be a better place if more people followed my example.
