What could you do differently?
On a plane to Germany when I was 17 I was listening to a motivational speaker through the onboard headsets. He talked about being in traffic behind another car and the car had what will sound like a rather mundane bumper sticker. The sticker read, “I’d rather be golfing.” The speaker pointed out that this was not technically true. If the driver chose to golf instead of fight rush hour traffic he could have. The other driver made the choice to be right where he was doing exactly what he was doing. The proof is in our actions. If I intend to do something differently then I will. If I merely claim I want to change my actions and my destiny but don’t do anything about it then I am not serious about that change. I could do a lot of things differently and would get different results. But I make the choices that I do and get the results I deserve.

I try to make better choices than I have in the past.

As do I. I feel I have been consistently making better decisions lately. The results will prove whether or not this is the case.
