I was named after a Gospel writer. The name Mark is also related to the Roman god Mars. It was probably Anglicized when the King James Bible was translated. It means or at least meant “Mighty Warrior.” It also has connotations with racing “On your mark, get set, go” and the military “Mark 1 equipment.” I’d like to make my Mark on the world.
