What would you do if you won the lottery?
If someone else bought me a lottery ticket against my wishes and it was a winner I would make sure the taxes on it got paid and leave the rest to the buyer. Lotteries are a tax on the hope of the poor. People with little are convinced that they can easily get a lot. They give that money to the government and the government keeps its share. A huge number of people have to lose for someone to win and that just wouldn’t feel like winning to me. Keep your ill gotten gains.
