Taking Walks

Have you ever unintentionally broken the law?

I loved to walk around my city in my twenties. On occasion I would even walk between the local towns and home. On one occasion I decided that I was going to walk to the Capitol. The fastest way there was the interstate. I got just past the first rest stop when a state patrol man pulled up beside me. He said something and I asked whether he wanted to know how I was doing or what I was doing. He wanted answers to both those questions. So I explained that I was awesome and had decided to walk to the Capitol. He told me I could not do that on the interstate, issued me a paper warning, and drove me back to the edge of my city. Over the years there have been a lot more “no pedestrian” signs put up which is a shame since I don’t drive.
