Latter Day Sinner

Thirty years ago I got a slightly used pair of black dress shoes from a thrift store here in town. They looked good and were incredibly comfortable. I didn’t actually do a lot of dancing in them but for several years I walked all over town in them. I wore them so much that I made a hole in the soles. I didn’t want to part with those shoes so I found a cobbler to replace the soles. They were functional after that but not nearly as comfortable. I still have them and occasionally wear them to church but after thirty years of use they don’t look as good. They are still an awesome pair of shoes with a lot of good memories.
