There is a traditional story that Saint Patrick drove all the snakes out of Ireland. There are some who suggest that the snakes refer to Non Christians. My wife is studying Druidry, but information about its ancient practices is hard to find. This is in part because the Druids did not have a written language to pass on their secrets. It is also because it is said that most of the attempts by Non Druid contemporaries to catalog the Druid’s ideas didn’t survive Christian purges. So today is a day that I remember the snakes that have been lost to history. Happy Snakes Day.
