How has technology changed your job?
I have had a lot of jobs over the years. Most of them have involved pushing buttons on a cash register. The buttons have changed but a cash register is still a cash register. I’ve changed diapers, folded clothes, and worked assembly lines. The diapers, clothes, and lines haven’t changed much over the years. I was also promised a paperless society. That never happened. Computers have gotten faster and more user friendly. But the change has been so gradual I’ve hardly noticed. I’ve been in some form of service almost my entire adult life, and service never changes.
