Latter Day Sinner

My community like so many others in the USA has a lack of affordable housing. There are more people that want to live here than there are places to live. So not only are housing prices high but a growing number of people are becoming homeless. People wanting to live here is a good thing. But the quality of that life suffers when large portions of wages are eaten by rent. I would like to see more small apartments built. They should be pet friendly because the shortage of places that take pets is even more pronounced. In the long run that just might encourage most people to live here which unfortunately would perpetuate the cycle. Long term and large scale solutions for the whole country will probably be necessary and I would like to be involved in understanding the issue and solving it on a national level.
