If you could be a character from a book or film, who would you be? Why?
If I could be any character from any book I would have to choose very carefully. I wouldn’t want to choose a preindustrial world. So for instance Aragorn from Lord of the Rings would be out as well as High King Peter from The Chronicles of Narnia. What good is being a well loved monarch if I don’t have WiFi or a flush toilet? There are books about Darth Vader (Star Wars) and Capitan Kirk (Star Trek) but they both had unsatisfactory love lives. I would have to rule out Ford Prefect (Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) for the same reason. I’m at a loss with just those two requirements (post industrial and satisfactory love life) I am unfortunately eliminating every compelling character that comes to mind. I’m going to think about this and maybe write another post in a few days.
