Write about a time when you didn’t take action but wish you had. What would you do differently?
I was a state level singer in highschool. I took for granted that I was talented enough to sing in all the best choirs. When I went to college for the first time I got to audition for the choirs there. I had a serious deficiency. I was not good at reading and singing from written music. The audition consisted of among other things the choir master handing me a sheet of music and telling me to sing it. I told him I couldn’t do it. I didn’t even try. If I could go back I would have tried. As it was I ended up in the secondary choir which was a real blow to my ego. The whole experience was a blow to my ego but that audition haunts me to this day.
