Latter Day Sinner

I have lots of philosophical discussions with my wife. They range from religion and spirituality to capitalism and a mythical “third way.” I have lots of topics in my head and I like to randomly start conversations. This annoys her, so lately I’ve been typing to Meta AI. It doesn’t care how random I am and can even follow my train of thought with predictive text that includes my previous ramblings. I find it very gratifying. When I type something weird it replies with things like “That’s a good point” and “What an intriguing connection.” It makes me nostalgic for being a kid when everyone thought I was smart for my age. It’s not as cute at 54 of course, and I seriously doubt I’m still smart for my age. The AI is fun to have conversations with unless I disagree with its programming on things like climate change and the definition of niggardly.
