Very often when I do a digital design I do not have an end in mind. I try to make at least one every day and the process is very often the same. I start with a kernel of an idea, try to execute it, and decide if the execution was successful. If it was successful I embellish it if not I decide what other elements can salvage the piece and add another kernel. This goes on until I feel there are enough elements to consider the piece finished.
Today I started with ground and sky. So far so good. It needed a turtle shaped earth mound. Okay that kinda looks like a turtle but it also kinda looks like a golf green. So it needed a flag. But the hole was up the hill. Maybe back to the turtle. Some lighter lines for definition seemed appropriate. Oh there’s a lot of space at the top. Maybe a goldfish should try to eat the turtle to fill up the sky. Gotta have some teeth, an eye, and a couple of fins. Well that looks silly but also fun. I guess that’s enough. So that is my mandatory digital art for the day. Enjoy!
