What is your career plan?
My brain is good at absorbing information. It is also good at retaining information. What it is not good at is putting all that information to good use. In the course of discovering what autism meant in my children and understanding how much of that they got from me, I learned the words “executive functioning.” It is the ability to make concrete plans that are reasonable to work. I am not good at that. I don’t have a lot of long term plans right now and while I would like a career I wouldn’t even know how to begin to get one.
