First of all I have a couple of boxes where I keep stuff I’ve been collecting since I was a kid. My fifth grade report card has all As except for a C in gym. My Cub scout badges are in that box. The other one have magazines and comic books that mean a lot to me along with some German coins a brought home when I traveled there at 17 and some souvenirs from Basic Training.. I’ve got a lot of other stuff around the house. I was given a boxed set of The Chronicles of Narnia when I was 8 and a boxed set of Tolkien when I was 13. I have two old calculators. One belonged to my fathers dad and the other belonged to my mothers mom. I also have her metronome. My parents kept a lot of my childhood art for years and occasionally give it back to me as they downsize. I have a cassette tape of the first time I sang in public as the second king of the orient at Christmas when I was five. I converted that to MP3. Lots of memories and the dearest things are the ones with the dearest memories.
