Do you remember life before the internet?
I’m Generation X. The first half of my life was an explosion of new technology. I’m one of the first children to have commercial video games. I was a member of Colombia House Record and Tape Club. But like I said a few days ago I entertained myself with board games and decks of cards. And the television was black and white and only had five channels. My first personal computer was a Commodore 64. And it was another fifteen years after that when dial up internet became readily available. I know the times before and know the technological progress we have made. I also think the generations after us are spoiled because they didn’t regularly listen to dial up internet or the empty space in the back of their heads before the world was at our fingertips.

Oh my, Same generation, but I am wondering…do you recall when home dishwashers became a thing, when they rented videos at 7-11 and VCR’s became common place, or when the answering machine came out! So many advances in our generation came out, Life was more peaceful then too-at least, in my childs’ mind it was…

I was the one who had to program the clock on the VCR. And I remember a time when you had to make it to the phone to answer it to know who was calling. If you missed the phone you were out of luck. LoL

Oh the Commodore 64! Yes! My elementary school got them when I was in 5th grade. We were so excited!
