Latter Day Sinner

I had a long conversation with a good friend about my Mormonism. I tried to explain temple worthiness to him. I typed about the way one is declared worthy and he associated that with gatekeeping. I replied that he was accurate. I mentioned that I would have to pay a tithe to enter the temple. He said it sounded like a subscription based service. I again had to admit that was pretty accurate. I typed about my love for the Book of Mormon and my witness that we can know all things through the Holy Spirit. But I had to admit that I didn’t “know” the LDS Church is true the way so many of the brothers and sisters do. It was a good talk and I hope I soothed his soul. Life is rough and we all need good friends.
