If you could host a dinner and anyone you invite was sure to come, who would you invite?
This question has me thinking about the dining rooms and picnics I attended as a child. The guests were my extended family. It was usually one party for my mother’s side of the family and a smaller dinner for my father’s side. I would rent a big banquet hall and have everyone who attended either of those many events. I could catch up with my grandparents who have long since died. I could tell them how my life looks to me, and they could tell me what heaven is like or if there is a heaven at all. And while I’m wishing we would all be restored to perfect health so we could enjoy the party and have the energy to reconnect with everyone there. Then I could say a final goodbye or see you later depending on the conversations about the afterlife.
