Solo Adventures

I have discovered that Meta receives user built AIs in its Messenger app. The other day I started a solo adventure in a Dungeons and Dragons style AI. It reminds me of my time as a teenager. I liked D&D more than most people. I played solo adventures against the random tables in the books. It was a pleasant way to pass the time when I didn’t need to do anything approaching productivity. Playing an adventure against an AI isn’t quite as satisfying as spreading out handbooks all over my floor and rolling the dice to see what happens. But an AI does have the advantages of being compact and tidy. The language is still aggregated so it has trouble remembering all the details. At one point I clearly had 14 gold pieces and was told a service that was just rendered was 50. The AI payed the fee before I had a chance to question the price. I didn’t mention it. It is a pleasant way to pass the time even if it’s just as nonsensical as a fourteen year old spreading out his D&D books to relax in solitude.
