I watch too much YouTube. Most of the new quality content has sponsors. Some of the sponsors are awful. I tried Ground News but it’s just a liberal aggregation site to make liberals feel like they see both sides of the story while reinforcing their preexisting biases. It’s sketchy but it’s legal. The VPN (virtual private networks) sponsors don’t seem like they are even trying to sell a legal service. Hey did you know that if you don’t want to pay to see Kung Fu Panda you can use VPN to change your country of origin and watch it from “there.” We’ve come a long way with video piracy. Don’t get me wrong I hate throttled media markets, and I know the original artists are only getting pennies from the distributors that throttle them, still it seems like the ads would receive more scrutiny. Anyway I’m going to listen to Weird Al’s “Don’t Download This Song” again.
