Latter Day Sinner

I walked the property today. There was a lot more trash than usual. It was mostly wrappers and scrap paper but there was also a piece of shingle. That was a little worrisome. There’s no certainty that it came from our house. Hopefully it didn’t. The neighbors behind us had work done on the roof a couple of months ago. It might have come from that. Still it’s odd that the shingle would end up in our driveway months later. An alternative explanation is that when we got new gutters a piece of our roof got dislodged. I am not in a position to go up and check. So far the gutters have cut out our leaks. Perhaps I worry about nothing. Still I wonder where the heck the shingle originated. Everything is picked up now which was the real goal. I might try to solve the mystery another day or I might forget about it all together. For now there is no garbage in the lawn.
