As a work at home full time caregiver I don’t have to put on shoes everyday. Barefoot on carpet is usually quite comfortable and I’m not going to put on shoes just to go in our unfinished basement for a few minutes. I do my own laundry and the last time I did a full load I washed 12 pairs of pants and 3 pairs of socks. I go outside in bare feet to take out the trash or sit in the fresh air most of the time. I’m making it a point to touch the grass more often now that the weather is pleasant. So generally no shoes unless I’m leaving the property. It is one of the few real “perks” of my job.
