Latter Day Sinner

I don’t remember whether I typed about this when it happened but Ether got into a fight with a stray cat in the neighborhood a few weeks ago. I shooed the other cat away and picked Ether up and brought him into the house. He was wet, sticky, and gross. I can only assume that the other cat peed on him. So after he had settled down I rinsed him off in the shower. He was not very happy about that but eventually forgave me for spraying the goo off of him. Today he went out with me while I took the house garbage to the bin. He was curious about what I was doing. I thought maybe he was thirsty so I went over to the outside faucet. He followed me and rubbed on my hands and then on the faucet. So I turned it on. He ran straight and scared for the front door and went in as soon as I opened it. He has not wanted to go back outside since then.
