Being Poor

I have been very poor by US standards. I continue to believe that it was never that bad. I lived on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on day old bread for several years. But I was never in any danger of actually starving. I had a very cheap apartment but was never homeless until the banks foreclosed on an expensive house. I admit to taking Medicaid instead of taking care of my own health, so I can’t get in the way of yours. Obviously I lived through my poverty to type about it here. Many people in the rest of the world aren’t so fortunate. Being poor in the US is still more fortunate than being poor anywhere else.
