Latter Day Sinner

There are two kinds of environmentalists broadly speaking. The first group want to save the earth FROM humans. They argue that we are a plague or an infection and that the earth is better off without us. saving the earth FROM humans means letting it go back to it’s natural state before we started exploiting it and polluting it. On the other hand is the group that wants to save the earth FOR humans. I am in that group. I think the world is better with people in it. We are at our best aware of ourselves and the good and bad we can do. We can choose to do good. We can preserve and steward the earth. We can keep it like a home. We don’t need to altruistically save the earth for its own sake, we need to save it in ways that make it more practical to live here. Which side are you on?
