  • Guarding Lit Candles

I locked myself in my wife’s room so she could go downstairs and use the printer. All of her candles are lit and it’s the only way I could think of to keep our youngest son from blowing them all out. Autism Guarding lit candles is my life now.

  • Feeling Loved

Can you share a positive example of where you’ve felt loved? Through big and small things I know my parents love me. My grandparents loved me too when they were alive. The rest of my family is also loving and I have a few truly good friends. So… it’s difficult to pick just one time…

  • The Blues Brothers

This week my wife renewed her subscription to Netflix. We watched Blazing Saddles on Sunday. I watched Life of Brian yesterday. And tonight after our youngest went to bed I queued up The Blues Brothers. Sadly fifteen minutes into it he got back out of bed and flopped himself on top of me. As the…

  • Pack Ratt

Where can you reduce clutter in your life? I am kind of a pack ratt. I collect things that I might need later. They usually start in piles in desks and tables. Sometimes I will sort through the piles and throw stuff away. But I never throw away whole piles. If everything in a pile…

  • Favorite Animal

What is your favorite animal? I love our cat. All other animals are judged in relationship to her. Dolphins are smart but we couldn’t have one in the house. Chickens are delicious but I wouldn’t want to take care of chickens. We got a few bald eagles in town. They are very majestic but too…

  • Communication Online

In what ways do you communicate online? Right now I spend a lot of time on Facebook Messenger. I keep track of family and friends, I share my art, and I discuss the issues that I’m not ready to make public. You might also realize I share here on WordPress. I’ve been faithfully blogging for…

  • Road Trips

Think back on your most memorable road trip. When I was ten my parents moved the family from Michigan to Maryland. At Thirteen we moved to Wisconsin. For about the next ten years (on and off) our family would ride a round trip of those three places usually stopping to see relatives as well. My…

  • Snow

It is snowing today. I am about a third of the way done shoveling. And I made art about snow. Don’t let the simplicity fool you though. This is a statement on society. You see I wish for this art to immediately enter public domain, but in order to share it I am reliant of…

  • Dove Chocolate

I am sitting at my computer typing at the moment. Directly to to right of my mouse are cat treats (creamy dairy flavor Temptations). Those are obviously not for me. To the right of that is about half a bag of Dove Silky Smooth Promises Dark Chocolate and Sea Salt Caramel candies. That is my…

  • Contentment

I made the observation to my wife that so far this year I’ve been feeling like a lump. She reminded me that for the past four years Walgreens had been draining every ounce of contentment from me. I had to admit while I do not feel productive at all I do in fact feel content.…
