J.O.B.

A very long time ago I got sucked into Amway for a couple of years. Along with the $200 a month in products I was expected to buy, I was also encouraged to purchase “motivational” material. The actual Amway products counted toward my monthly goal. The dream building tapes and promotional literature did not. Some of the things from those tapes really stuck with me though. For instance one of the presenters said that before Amway he had “two braincells and they were waving goodbye to each other.” I still use that on my loopy days. Another one that stuck with me was the assertion that “job” was an acronym for Just Over Broke. It was followed by the observation that if you work hard at a traditional job, it made someone else rich not you. I still want to be rich and know that Walgreens is not the path to that. So I try other things. Yesterday I played games, made art, read, wrote and shared memes. I wish I could monetize days like that, but I’m not there yet. So I’m going to go to my j.o.b. and pretend to be a responsible adult by being traditionally productive. I hope you my reader can find ways to make money doing what you love. If you are doing that, feel free to share your secrets with me. But no to multi level marketing. Blessings to you all.

  1. Is Amway an MLM? Yes, when you work for someone else you’re doing all the handwork for someone else to get rich. There’s truth in that. I wish you the best and hope one day you get to enjoy what you do and make money for yourself.

    1. Yes Amway is MLM, and it’s working to make someone else rich unless you commit to selling that plan wholeheartedly.

Thank you for continuing to read my ramblings. At the very least it is good to feel heard.

      1. You’re welcome, I think most MLM’s are like that and often trick people into believing they can make lots of money when it’s impossible to do so.
