Phone Calls and Paperwork

Less work at Walgreens means more work from home. I spent half an hour or the phone doing a monthly checkup for the boys and agreeing to what needs to be on the paperwork so that I can bill hours for them. All told I’ll be technically working a forty hour week. But only technically. I work all the time. I recite to myself a verse from the Bhagavad Gita that “Work is holy when the heart of the worker is fixed on the highest.” I don’t spend enough time studying God and praying to Him, but if my efforts to sanctify my labor are worth anything I think I’ll make it past Judgement in the end. But for now I have phone calls to answer, paperwork to process, meals to cook, diapers to change, and garbage to take to the curb. I’ve got souls to sooth too. Meltdowns come with the territory of autism, and I am called to de-escalate and redirect. With any luck I’ll also take some time for art everyday and keeping y’all in the loop as much as safety permits.
