South Central Wisconsin is hot today. Unusually hot. Whether it is just the weather or the dreaded rise in global mean temperature is one that I sometimes contemplate. But it always comes down to how much people can control versus how much we think we can control. The former is always much smaller than the latter. We want to be able to shape our destinies but the universe is a cold uncaring mistress who will kill you in your sleep if you ignore her for too long. I’m wide awake now and thinking about the heat though. I’d much rather die hot than cold if I have the choice. And awesome… if I can die awesome that would also be my preference.
