Depending on who you ask, “Do what you love and the money will follow” is either really good advice or really bad advice. The world is full of needs. If you are good at satisfying those needs you can make a living at it. Whether you love what you are doing or not doesn’t seem to have much consequence to that other than the fact that if you love what you are doing and making money at it you are more likely to stick with it. As I’ve said before Walgreens is a good job but it it just a job. I like the paycheck more than I like the pharmacy. My coworkers are great, most of the customers are fine as long as we do our jobs, but there is always a lot more of that job to do and too few hands to do it. I’d much rather be making a living doing digital art, but I am not yet, so I will stick with a job I don’t love because it pays better than my other options.
