I am convinced that the principle of free speech is a heavenly one. It is predicated on the freedom to choose liberty and eternal life (2 Nephi 2:27). It is an essential element in the righteous need to tell the truth. Sometimes the truth offends people, but that offense is not a sufficient reason to stop the truth. We have a divine right to say things that are both true and offensive. There will be disagreements about what is true but that again is not sufficient to bar telling the truth as one sees it. To offend for the sake of offense is less valuable but also more subjective. Care should be taken in censoring even things in this category. We must be responsible for the consequences of our speech but the mere act of speaking is a God given right.

Absolutely π― I believe there is ultimate truth, but I think everyone comes to that realization eventually, but only after eons of spiritual evolution. The truth hurts, that’s just a fact. But spirituality is completely subjective. And that’s a fact
