I am still slowly working my way through Chuang Tzu. Sometimes I am truly moved by the idea of The Tao. Sometimes I think that it is analogous to the Holy Spirit. But in that thought experiment only the Tao and the Holy Spirit exist. It seems at times like this that there is guidance without a guide and law without a lawgiver. My own visions are strongly tied to a white wind. It’s an impenetrable eternal force in much the way the Tao and the Holy Spirit are. And God and the gods are just anthropomorphizing this law and guidance. They are for our benefit in seeing the truth and we are not for their benefit. They are our creations from our desire to see ourselves in creation. We make myth to help us conform to a reality that is beyond comprehension. Perhaps though The Tao and the Holy Spirit are just parts of our mythmaking and I am making the myth my own when the white wind moves through me.
