“Make War Not Love”

I’m wearing a novelty tshirt today that I earned from a website called Learn Liberty by promoting the site. It reads “Make Wealth Not War.” It is in part an homage to the first novelty tshirt I ever got. When I was a teenager I was reading a Mad Magazine and in one of the comic strip panels a boy was wearing a shirt that read “Make War Not Love. It’s Safer.” The shirt wasn’t being marketed. It was just an idea in a comic. I showed it to my sister and we both laughed. Then she hatched a plan without my knowledge. She had a tshirt custom printed with those words on it. It was one of the best gifts I received in my childhood and I wore it until half the screen printed letters had fallen off. That started a love affair with wacky tshirts that remains to this day.
