Latter Day Sinner

My youngest son started screaming this morning. I don’t know why. I gave him his morning pills and that helped for a while. But his dysregulation returned pretty quickly. He was screaming again an hour later and got an emergency pill. He went out to sit in the car, honked the horn for a few minutes, and requested pharmacy. That’s code for going shopping at Walgreens. No rewards for meltdowns and the car is on a donut so no extra trips no matter what the circumstances. The pills kicked in and he came inside and fell asleep on the couch. We opened the front door so the cats could go in and out while he slept. When he woke up he sat outside in a lawn chair for a while but became dysregulated again because the cats were out. He had to come inside because of more screaming. We closed the door and got the cats inside and he’s settled down a little. I still hate that my choice with him is screaming or sedation.
