Banana Peel Strips and Cucumbers

Alex likes bananas. He took a whole bunch of them to his room. They are a good part of his diet. There are however two issues that I have with them. The first is that he leaves a pile of banana peel strips when he is done and gets mad at me for telling him to throw them away. If he hides the pile which he sometimes does I end up gagging when I go into his room later. Mind you I have no sense of smell so I can’t identify where they are just that they are rotting somewhere in the room.

The other issue is that when Alex gets things on his hands he smears them on his clothes. It’s sometimes hard to identify what has been smeared. Again I can only see it not smell it, so I have to play a very gross guessing game. Tonight it’s banana, but tomorrow it might be much worse. At least he’s eating them.

Ben likes cucumbers. Stephanie has been buying them and cutting them up into little circles for him. She just calls them circles and he will agree with the word circles. Tonight I came downstairs and he had a whole cucumber. He had started eating it, but I made him give it to me so I could wash off the grocery residue. He didn’t like me taking it from him but I gave it right back when it was clean. And then he ate the whole thing. No waste, no mess, and it’s good for him.
