Changing the Lightbulb

There’s an old joke:

How many psychiatrists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Only one, but it will take a long time, cost a lot of money, and the lightbulb has to really want to change.

Change is hard. It’s harder if we resist it. Sometimes resisting change is the correct thing to do. The principles of conservation and progress are at the core of the opposition in all things. Stephanie is going through changes. She is becoming healthier in the process. She wants to change and is doing the work to make them lasting and positive. I want to be more still in my life right now. She is an unstoppable force and I am an immovable object. This is the opposition in our things.
