Latter Day Sinner

When you first learned about infinity you probably started with the idea that natural numbers are infinite and that given an eternity one could count forever. But that opens a whole bucket of philosophical slop. Most people I know believe that the universe had a beginning and that absolutely nothing existed in the eternal past. Scientists who want to be taken seriously toe the line on The Big Bang. There is a religiousity to creation from nothing. I am a different bend. I believe contrary to modern science that the universe existed in the eternal past and will continue into the eternal future. The only thing that has and will exist eternally with it is the Tao. Even gods and rumors of gods are made too much in our own finite image. Men are not eternal but mistakenly believe that the gods we make can be.
