Latter Day Sinner

One of the talks in Sacrament today was about The Sermon on the Mount. The word for hypocrite hasn’t changed much from the Biblical Greek two thousand years ago. For some reason I had never broken the word down to parse it. It’s “hypo” meaning beneath and “critic” meaning to find fault. A hypocrite is one who critiques himself less than he should. I am going to meditate on how much of that sin I allow in my life.
