Exhaustion

I’m Being Published
A while back I wrote a poem and submitted it for publication. The submission guide included a request for an author’s note about what motivated the piece. I just heard back today that the poem was rejected but that they want to publish the “essay” about it. So unexpected, weird, and awesome.
