Voting Democrat
Today is the primary election in the state of Wisconsin. Our governor, one of our senators, and the house representative for my district will all be chosen in November. Wisconsin has an open primary so I can vote in the primary of any one party. The ballot had Republican, Democrat, Constitution, Libertarian, and Green choices.…

Fifteen Minutes at a Time
I don’t get to watch a whole movie very often. There is usually a chore, a child, or a chore for a child that seems more urgent than sitting and watching a moving picture. Today I got to watch fifteen minutes of The Dark Crystal. Ogra has always been my favorite character and it was…

A Rainy Third
Tomorrow is Independence Day in the US. People celebrate by blowing stuff up. It’s an American tradition. It’s rainy tonight so not many people are out with fireworks. The kid next door said his dad already set off all the good ones. There were some real doosies. The rain means tomorrow’s city celebration won’t be…

Intoxicated
I don’t have anything to go out of the house for tomorrow, so I am intoxicated tonight. This is becoming pretty typical for my Friday nights. Just mellow. Fed, fasting, and mellow. Stay Awesome, Stay Weird, or Stay Away.

Jesus’s Birthday
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was founded on April 6th, 1830. While it is not canonical, some Mormons including myself believe this happened on Jesus’s Birthday. The Christmas date just makes less and less sense to me as time goes on. Why were shepards in the field with their flocks in…

Daily Hymns
On Sundays the hymns for the ward are posted in the LDS Gospel Library app. I usually listen to those for my daily hymns. Today the hymns were Easter favorites. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints doesn’t celebrate Palm Sunday and we usually celebrate Easter on Easter. But lately Holy Saturday and…

My Valentine 26
Stephanie let me sleep today. I have only been awake for three hours and it’s already time to blog. Not much has happened yet. I didn’t get her a Valentine’s Day present. Perhaps I should do better.
