We are just beginning to teach Ben the concept of waiting for tomorrow. Stephanie doesn’t want to reward his demands. I am more worried that the demands are for instant gratification. We had to tell him for hours that electricians don’t work at night and that he would have to wait until the next day when they do. Tomorrow was hard for him but we were able to keep the promise that the next day the lights would be fixed. Today he was demanding again. “Kwik Trip today,” “Five Points Toady,” and “Dollar Tree today.” I told him he would have to wait until tomorrow. It’s not like we are never going to do those things again because he is to demanding about them but I really seriously want to teach our big guy delayed gratification. It’s a process and he didn’t draw blood from me because of the lesson I am teaching him. Not today at least.
