Latter Day Sinner

Eating things that aren’t food is called pica. I ate paper as a child. I swallowed string. I did some serious damage to my digestive system eating mint flavored toothpicks. Ben inherited pica from me. I saw him picking at a cardboard box and putting tiny scraps in his mouth a few days ago. Yesterday evening he had a big wad of cardboard that he was chewing. He swallowed it before I could stop him. But I removed the box. He ate a significant portion of it. I suspect his foul mood the past few days is because of constipation caused by cardboard. No doubt he’s my kid at least.
